On behalf of the entire Enable Alabama team, we want to wish you and your families a safe and happy Fourth of July! On this day, we’re always reminded about the freedom and independence that our Founding Father’s fought so hard for.
Here at Enable Alabama, we know the feeling about fighting for independence. In our case though we’ve fought for financial freedom. Before the passing of the ABLE Act, individuals with disabilities were not given the support to be financially independent. Now, account owners have the ability to save up to $14,000 per calendar year.
To help further accessibility to financial independence for individuals with disabilities, we encourage everyone to support ABLE 2.0 initiatives, including the Ability to Work Act, Financial Planning Act, and the ABLE Age Adjustment Act, which helps make ABLE plans more accessible to a wider population in the disability community. Financial independence is a freedom that everyone should have, and we encourage you to join this cause.
Since launching this program, we have heard many success stories from our account owners, who have been able to live their best lives due to the financial independence and support the Enable Savings Plan Alabama has given them. Our team believes that everyone should be entitled to financial independence and we continue to make it our mission to help those with disabilities save, just like everyone else.
We would love to hear about your journey to financial independence. Feel free to drop us a line on our Facebook page, and we encourage you to keep reading our blog to stay up to date on all things Enable Alabama.
